WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION | The creative potential for the enhancement and coloring of imagery is seemingly infinite. In this workshop, we will hand color with watercolor, colored pencil and tinted cold wax on digitally printed images.

In this three to three and half hour workshop, the student will work along with Kevin as he demonstrates the following processes:

1. Starting with a desaturated or black/white image we will apply color to the print with colored pencil, watercolor and tinted cold wax.
2. Starting with a desaturated or black/white image we will apply color to the print exclusively with tinted cold wax.
3. Kevin will demonstrate the following: gluing image to board, trimming image, preparing tinted cold wax, applying antique wax to image, examples of and use of all materials including watercolor, colored pencil and tinted cold wax.
4. The third image included in the supply box will be used for experimentation after the scheduled workshop and before the follow-up session.

All three images will be printed by the instructor and included in the box of supplies. The gallery will ship all the prints glued to boards, art supplies and equipment necessary for the workshop.  The student will ship back the art supplies and equipment after the follow-up session. The shipping costs are included in the workshop price. Return labels will be provided by the gallery.

The follow-up session will be a few days after the formal workshop.  Participants will have time to ask questions and show their completed work created during the workshop.

Since this is a private workshop, we can address any specific concerns of the participant. The workshop can be tailored to fit the needs of the participants. We welcome project-oriented workshops.
